After a church ceremony and a few indoor church photos we were off to Hotel Saint Louis to take some couples’ images in the beautiful hotel lobby. The hotel lobby has ornate gold elevator doors and a beautiful staircase with gold handrails. We used off-camera lighting to make sure the couple was properly lit for the time of day. Cocktail hour was on the mezzanine level which has a beautiful stained-glass ceiling, and it overlooks the lobby. It was important for the couple to attend cocktail hour and have photos taken with as many guests as possible. They had approximately 95 guests.

Always in Bloom made the tables look gorgeous with various heights of floral arrangements. The bride had gourds from their family farm added to the table décor as well as syrup and jam from their family farm. The farm is located in Sidney, Ohio and has been in the bride’s family since 1813.

The bride’s dress is from La Bella Moda in Philadelphia. The bridesmaids selected their own black dresses. Their bouquets in blush, burgundy, orange and white looked beautiful against their dark dresses.

They had personal touches at the reception that featured their cats. Blue socks with fleur de lis featured a label with cats and their names and date. Their drink menu featured Clara the cat and listed the available drinks for the night.

The ballroom at Hotel Saint Louis is beautiful with it’s many large crystal chandeliers. The couple had a gorgeous sweetheart table decorated by Always in Bloom. They had various flavors of cupcakes and a 6 inch wedding cake from The Cup.

Music was provided via McMusic Events and DJ George. The couple had a special dance choregraphed for their first dance as newlyweds.
